About Me

Hello, My name is Courtney. I Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a passion for helping families and future practitioners create meaningful, lasting change through the science of behavior. I have been in the field for over 15 years either as a Registered Behavior Technician (10 years), Special Education Teacher 3 years, Behavior specialist 1 year and now a BCBA. I have a subspecialty of working with children with feeding complexities, whether that is food aversions, g-tubes, etc. After spending 12 years working with my own child with behavioral, speech, and feeding therapy, I learned to appreciate the complexities and the collaboration and skill that is required to work with this particular challenge in children that have Autism or other neurodivergences. I have a wonderful family which consists of my husband, two children; one of whom is also on the spectrum, and a Bernedoodle. When I am not working I enjoy playing the violin, singing, and hiking the great outdoors with my family.

How I Practice

As both a professional and a parent, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges that come with raising and supporting children. I’m also a homeschooling mom of two, which has given me a deeper appreciation for individualized learning, patience, and creativity in every environment. My practice is family centered. I practice with both heart and science. My approach blends the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with compassion, collaboration, and respect for every family’s unique story. I believe that lasting change happens through meeting families and children where they are, empowering them with practical tools, and celebrating progress every step of the way. Whether I’m working with a child, guiding parents, or mentoring future practitioners, my goal is always the same: to create a safe, supportive space where learning feels natural and growth feels possible.

My Favorite Experience Working In This Field

One of my most memorable experiences in the field was working with a young child who, during their initial assessment, engaged only with a spoon, demonstrated no imitation skills, and was not yet speaking. Over the course of six months, with 40 hours of consistent ABA therapy each week, this child began to blossom—imitating simple dance movements, using single words to communicate, and playing with toys in meaningful ways. Witnessing this incredible progress deepened my passion for Applied Behavior Analysis and reaffirmed my belief in the power of consistency, individualized support, and compassionate care. Moments like these remind me why I do what I do—because every small step forward is a reason to celebrate.

Why I Love What I Do

I am continually inspired by the progress my clients make and the meaningful ways those changes impact their daily lives. Watching individuals gain new skills, confidence, and independence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. In this season of my career, I’ve also found great fulfillment in mentoring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Supporting them as they develop their skills, grow in confidence, and advance in their professional journey is deeply rewarding. It’s an honor to watch both clients and practitioners transform through the science of behavior—and to know that the impact extends far beyond the therapy setting.

What You Can Expect From Me

When you work with me, you can expect a balance of professional expertise, genuine compassion, and individualized care. Every family and learner is unique, and I take the time to understand your specific goals, strengths, and challenges before developing a plan that truly fits your needs. You can count on me to: Approach every interaction with respect, empathy, and integrity Use evidence-based ABA strategies tailored to real-life success Communicate openly and collaborate closely with families and team members Provide consistent support, clear guidance, and encouragement every step of the way Celebrate progress—both big and small—because growth deserves recognition My goal is for you to feel supported, informed, and empowered, knowing that you have a partner who is invested in your success and your child’s long-term growth.
