Hi! I'm Ashley, I grew up in New York. I moved to the New England area to pursue higher education. I began working in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) over 12 years ago; and fell in love with the field! I have worked in various positions as well as various settings including private schools, public schools, clinic and in-home. I have been blessed throughout my career to learn and work with many compassionate mentors and colleagues; it has helped me continuously learn and grow in my practice helping support children and their families. In my free time I love to read, spend time with my family, spend time outdoors, go thrifting, learn new things, listen to music, enjoy a cup of coffee (or two) and cook. I live in the Charlotte area of North Carolina.
My approach to practicing ABA is compassionate, respectful, friendly, thoughtful, understanding, fun and individualized. Every person is different and therefore I work to understand the specific needs and goals and work with the child and families to make steps towards those goals. I am a lifelong learner; I am dedicated to learning new and innovative ways to support growth.
One of my favorite experiences in this field was watching a child's face light up when they were understood. It melted my heart! Their shoulders dropped in relief and the joy on their face, was a wonderful moment. There are so many exciting moments in this field; I enjoy problem solving and finding creative ways to reach a goal.
My passion for ABA is driven by a profound desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am drawn to the ability that ABA can provide measurable, sustainable progress, empowering children to achieve their full potential. I have always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. This field has allowed me to help others on their journey; it's truly been a gift to support each individual in their personal journey to learn and grow.
You can expect a BCBA who will be honest, understanding, compassionate, patient, actively listen to you, collaborate with you, work hard to problem solve, and use a fun approach to helping your child attain their goals. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your child!
